Which is the major subject you are currently focusing on?
ENGIE Solutions offers equipment that directly addresses our customers' processes. We work in control systems in automation, supervision or robotics.
For the latter, we offer standard solutions: at the beginning of the line, with our Bottle Depacking, film cutting and bottle handling solution. The objective is to take the strain out of work, increase operator comfort and well-being and improve the ergonomics of workstations. One of the strengths of ENGIE Solutions is how it accompanies its customers on all these issues. We also contribute in mid-line with assembly, handling assembly or quality control ... Then, at the end of the line, on packaging and palletization through our Palet'Ease solution where man/machine collaboration is emphasized. The operator interacts with the robot alternately in complete safety. It is a collaborative solution in the sense of Factory 4.0.
We also propose a solution that combines a robot and a vertical storage device called Cobot'Ease Storage.
A new level of support for our customers was attained in January 2020, with the opening of the Robotics Lab, a national centre of expertise for industrial robotics.
This "Lab", taking the form of a showroom, enables us to present our standard solutions and our know-how in robotic solutions. One of the objectives is to create a genuine ecosystem around robotics in order to support manufacturers in their transition to the industry of the future: hosting start-ups, educational partnerships. It will act as a true platform for exchange, where tomorrow's solutions will be reflected through our R&D unit.
These are all areas of specialization.
ENGIE Solutions is also involved in many other areas: construction/extension of sites; building security with, in particular, access control solutions, anti-intrusion video surveillance, all of which represent a major challenge for manufacturers.
What is your strategy to answer the increasing demand from both the industries and the consumers, in terms of sustainable development / eco-design ?
The transition to a low-carbon economy has become a predominant challenge for society.
Today, our Group has adopted a new strategy that consists of focusing on renewable energies and engaging with our customers and partners in a virtuous and eco-responsible approach. Through this strategy, we aim to become the world leader in the zero-carbon transition. This is why, with this in mind, we support our customers in rethinking how they manage their resources and production processes to improve their performance and competitiveness while lessening their environmental impact. The robotized solutions that we propose, like the rest of our offerings, take this dimension fully into account by manufacturing close to our customers, thus containing our carbon footprint. At ENGIE Solutions, we strongly believe that we can produce without damaging our environment.
Why did you choose to take part in ALL4PACK 2020 ? / Which kind of decision makers do you meet there ?
This exhibition, which has become a ‘must-attend’ event, constitutes a genuine opportunity for ENGIE Solutions to meet industry professionals. ENGIE Solutions supports them in the performance and optimisation of their processes. This exhibition is therefore an opportunity to present our new products, our wide-ranging solutions and an innovative integration model.
