They give their views on the challenges facing the industry

Roland Lescure: “The packaging sector is at the heart of the challenges of circularity and decarbonisation of industry”

Fully committed to the ecological transition, France intends to play a leading role in the fight against climate change. This situation is forcing various ministries to position the ecological transition at the heart of their challenges. With this in mind, Roland Lescure, France's Minister Delegate for Industry, addressed a message to companies in the packaging sector.

Jimmy Pahun: "We need to work as clearly as possible on CSR issues" 

While many efforts have already been made in favor for more sustainable packaging practices, there's still a long way to go. For ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, Jimmy Pahun, MoDem deputy for Morbihan, looks at the role companies must play in this transition process.

Philippe Bolo: "France must be an ambassador for packaging rationalisation"

Given the urgent need to protect the environment, the use of packaging is now a hot topic. Recycling, eco-design, over-packaging... these are all issues that need to be tackled head-on by manufacturers and legislators alike. Huguette TIEGNA "There's a disparity of resources when it comes to recycling and reuse"

While the sustainable transformation of the packaging and intralogistics sector is well underway, many challenges remain. This is particularly true of recycling and reuse initiatives, which still suffer from disparities in resources. For Huguette Tiegna, Member of Parliament for the 2nd constituency of Lot, circular economy players now have a role to play with the industry in transforming the packaging sector into a showcase for the French circular economy.

Marta de Cidrac: "The packaging industry has used innovation to evolve". 

For Marta de Cidrac, Senator for Yvelines, the issues impacting the packaging industry today need to be addressed both upstream (biosourcing, decarbonization, etc.) and downstream (biodegrabability, reusability, recyclability) of the value chain. Interviewed by ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS, the senator, who is also president of the study group on the circular economy, calls for better coordination at international, national and territorial level, so that all players can move forward hand in hand to meet the new environmental challenges.

ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS 2022 was an opportunity to discuss the sector's pressing issues during talks and panel discussions. European opinion leaders exchanged views on the challenges to be met, the solutions to be considered, and the prospects for the future of innovative packaging.
These discussions underlined the importance of collaboration and innovation in successfully transitioning towards controlled impact packaging.

Despite a four-year hiatus, in 2022 the show welcomed 1,100 exhibitors and brands (including 250 new ones!). We recorded an attendance of 45,000 professionals over 4 days, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from both exhibitors and visitors.

Finally, the show knows how to shine a spotlight on the international aspect of these continuous innovations. With 51% of its exhibitors and 32% of its visitors from outside France, ALL4PACK EMBALLAGE PARIS emphasizes that the challenge of sustainable packaging is global, requiring solutions that span continents.

The figures speak volumes: 81% of exhibitors consider their participation in the show crucial for their company, nearly 80% perceived a positive business atmosphere at the show, and 75% were satisfied with the quality of visitors in 2022.
As for visitors, 80% played a role in the purchasing process, 48% were new visitors, and 82% consider their visit to the show vital for their business.
