With the intervention of:
  • Véronique Sestrières, ALL4PACK Paris Show Director

11:00 - 12:00 AM - PACKAGING READY FOR ITS REVOLUTION

For many years, as the studies conducted by the show have already shown, "packaging is the perfect reflection of our society".

Thus, today's packaging is constantly adapting and changing to meet today's consumers expectations and societal concerns such as: environmental awareness, anti-waste, the consequences of products on health, the guarantee of flawless security...

But let's see further. What could be packaging in thirty years?

In order to answer this question we have selected four societal challenges that are waiting for Europeans, and more generally humanity, for the next thirty years.

Four major challenges that will revolutionize our lifestyles and lead packaging to reinvent itself:

  • The ageing of the population
  • The depletion of the planet's resources
  • The development of artificial intelligence in all areas
  • The increased mobility in autonomous vehicles, even in space

The results of this survey will be unveiled around this conference.

With the intervention of:
  • Fabrice Peltier, Designer and Consultant for ALL4PACK Paris
  • Sylvia Vitale Rotta, Founder & CEO - Team Creatif
  • MeHmet Çiftci, Vice-President – Paristanbul
  • Uwe Melichar, Chairman of EPDA and Packaging Manager - FACTOR

2:00 - 3:00 PM - IS E-COMMERCE DISRUPTING THE CODES OF PACKAGING?

E-commerce is changing the way packaging is designed and even more since consumers ordered food products online. How do graphics, designs designed to stand out on shelves translate into the digital world? A packaging made more functional for the shipping of products, and which flushes empty, can it still convey the experience of the brand? And in luxury? Does the Amazon dash button facilitate purchase and renewal? Under what conditions is the return of products possible through reverse logistics? Should different packaging references be stored for omni-channel packaging? Overview of "e-requirements" for packaging.

The future of this technology is emerging and allows him to design the packaging of tomorrow.

3:15 - 4:15 PM - IOT, BLOCKCHAIN : NEW PILLARS OF SUPPLY CHAIN

The IoT or "Internet of Things" allows to extract data to supplement those available in the supply chain systems. Connected sensors thus help to control the flow of returnable packaging and fight against counterfeiting. The blockchain, a secure and tamper-proof digital database, allows each actor in the supply chain to enter traceability information for each batch of products. The consumer accesses information on his product and his career. As new pillars of 4.0 Supply Chain, these technologies also create a link with consumers. Context, feedback from the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and retail industries.

2:00 - 3:00 PM - SUSTAINABLE SERIATION AND ECO CONCEPTION FOR INNOVATIVE PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING

On February 9, 2019, the serial numbers specific to each drug box encoded in a datamatrix must be "loaded" by the industrialists on the European system EMVS (European Medicine Verification System) which will then pay in real time in databases serial numbers specific to each country. The actors of the pharmaceutical chain can then connect to these databases to verify the authenticity of the information on the product and disable the serial number when it is issued. How to value data reporting, how to protect against counterfeiting internationally or when selling online and how to eco-design innovative but sustainable medical packaging?

3:15 - 4:15 PM - CYBERSECURITY IN PACKAGING AND 4.0 INTRALOGISTICS

Digital twins : "digital duplicate of machines designed from original plans and related to operating data that better assess the precise state of a machine and track its evolution over time. Objective: anticipate problems or understand their cause without stopping the equipment to inspect it."

Cybersecurity: "neologism designating a heterogeneous set of actions, laws, risk management methods, training aimed at protecting individuals, organizations, member states and their tangible and intangible computer assets from criminal organizations, attackers, other governments, etc."

In the industry of the future where all the infrastructures would be connected to the Internet, the threat will be omnipresent: how to protect oneself?
