Interview with Luca MANGINI, Business Development Manager

Which is the major subject you are currently focusing on?

Tirelli is experiencing a period of strong growth that allows us to constantly expand the family and make significant investments. This is in order to optimise our productive efficiency and the working conditions of our employees: the most striking example is our new factory with a surface area of more than 4000 m2. Our innovative factory has been designed to have zero impact on the environment: powered by its own solar panels and with a complex air recirculation system to cool and heat the premises.

Also at the heart of our strategy are other important investments that have been allocated to the development of new technical solutions: remarkable new products will be presented to our customers in the course of 2020.

What is your strategy to answer the increasing demand from both the industries and the consumers, in terms of sustainable development / eco-design ?

We are very attentive to today's challenges and we welcome the approach of many of our customers who are moving towards production with less environmental impact, in terms of both formulas and packaging. We are here to support them with tailor-made technical solutions for each project.  

For our part, we have chosen to integrate premium motors in the energy efficiency class IE3 into our machines. Motors account for around 75% of the industrial sector's electricity consumption, so the efficiency of motors and their energy efficiency is central to the issues at stake.

But our approach does not stop there, and our goal is to maximize the efficiency of each of our machines: this is reflected, for example, in the fact that our equipment is eligible for Factory 4.0 projects.

Why did you choose to take part in ALL4PACK 2020 ? / Which kind of decision makers do you meet there ?

France has always been an important market for Tirelli: since 1989 we have installed nearly 300 machines in the country. This number rises enormously if we also take into account the many customers we have in other French-speaking countries. For Tirelli, ALL4PACK is therefore an opportunity to see many of our existing customers again, as well as to meet other companies that we do not know yet and that might require our know-how in the cosmetics and home&personal care sector. Our team will be on hand to advise visitors and discuss all the technical and commercial details of their projects.
