WHAT IS YOUR COMPANY’S LATEST NEWS/YOUR LATEST PRODUCTS?
Décomatic is continuing to develop in the flexible packaging and labelling sector, in particular with the development of its booklet labels range, and new industrial and consumer stretch sleeve applications.
Among these developments, I can mention two aspects which apply throughout our business line. Firstly, we incorporate tracking and connectivity items (QR code, NFC, RFID), with application in serial production - package monitoring - track & trace, or with a marketing application with augmented reality. Secondly, our customers appear increasingly attentive to sustainable development issues; in this area, Décomatic has implemented eco-design for several years (notably through its ISO 9001 certification), and adds to it with a CSR approach which is part of its DNA (“CSR committed” label and Ecovadis Gold level). This places us at the forefront to discuss topics such as the recyclability and sustainability of packaging and the circular economy.
WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH? WHAT RANGE DO YOU HAVE TO RESPOND TO THE HIGH DEMANDS OF MANUFACTURERS AND CONSUMERS IN TERMS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT/ECO-DESIGN?
We keep a constant watch of how expectations evolve in terms of sustainable development, and for many years we have chosen to incorporate this in our business strategy.
This explains why we follow the best practices and best technical solutions every day. This is what led us to choose acrylic-based inks several years ago (95% of its inks in 2018). This is what also spurred us into preferring recyclable materials and those which are easier to dispose of at end-of-life.
The most tangible example of this is the stretch sleeve, which combines several benefits: 100% recyclable, enabling the primary packaging to return to its original state for recycling or reuse. In this respect, it is compatible with all packaging product categories (PET bottles, HDPE bottles, PP, etc.).
WHY ARE YOU TAKING PART IN ALL4PACK Paris 2020 / WHAT TYPE OF PROFESSIONALS DO YOU MEET THERE?
We have been taking part in ALL4PACK Paris for several editions. It is a very important event for many of our French and European customers and partners. For our customers, it is generally an opportunity to step outside the environment of a formal meeting to explore new opportunities and think about innovation. For Décomatic, it allows us to widen the audience on target for its products, with new products and sales leads which enhances our development work and our creativity.
